I wouldn't mind this get-up at all for fall. Especially the gorgeous Klein-blue coat. Gift me please! I wouldn't pair it with white shoes though.
I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of blue and also burgundy this fall and probably a lot of Phoebe Philo's Céline as well, she has really succeeded in turning Céline into what every working, modern woman needs (and craves).

Statement jewllery has been around for a while now and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, which makes me glad. A great necklace can make any ol' outfit stand out. I happened upon these lovely pieces quite by chance. They are one-of-a-kind made by artists and designers for Sight Unseen. I must say that I am amazed every day by all the creativity and skills I find manifested in blogs and within different online communities.

These gorgeous pieces are from Katie Ermilio's Spring Summer 2012 collection. I love the classic lines and 60s feel mixed with the modern cut-out backs and bows.
When I was little I used play dress-up with my sisters and of course like any little girl I dreamed of being a princess. That or a rock star. Anyway, these beautiful outfits are definately fit for a princess, or simply for modern dress-up.

I think Riccardo Tisci's Fall Winter RTW collection for Givenchy was one of his best. I loved almost every piece and everything is completely wearable, which Givenchy hasn't always been.
Under Tisci Givenchy has gone from strength to strength, the Givenchy woman now has a well defined aura of dark, provocative and sultry panache mixed with a delicate femininity.

Since I first found them in New York a couple of years ago I've loved Forget-me-not's scarves. The label is headed by French illustrator and art director Coco Brun and the scarves all bear her breathtaking illustrations.
I think the reason I like them is because they remind me of the fantastic fairytales I read as a child, Narnia, Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland in particular. Faraway places, kings, queens, real and fantasy animals and creatures, even clocks all have their place in Forget-me-not's scarves.

My parents are going hunting this weekend with a group of friends. I'm pretty sure my mother never held a gun and it is wildly known my father wouldn't hurt a fly. He has a soft heart. They certainly like being outdoors, especially in Stockholm's archipelago and also hiking in the alps but hunting, no. So, I decided to assemble a hit list for surviving the wild to help them along.

Together with sport wear influences bold prints, especially florals, embellishments and mixed fabrics and structures have been prevailing trends during the Spring Summer 2012 fashion shows. Some of my favorite shows so far have been Aquilano.Rimondi, Carolina Herrera, Erdem and Mary Karantzou. All of them incorporated these trends beautifully.
Also, the moodboards are amazing. I love that Erdem Moralioglu was inspired by In the Mood for Love, it's such a beautiful movie.

Chloé Resort 2012 was photographed by the lovely Garance Doré. I think the collection was well executed by Chloé's design team considering Hannah MacGibbon left the house this Spring and Clare Waight Keller is yet to show her first collection.
Waight Keller previously re-vamped British brand Pringle and did a great job of creating preppy clothes with an edge and transforming the somewhat dated brand. It will be interesting to see if she can make the switch from British preppy to French laissez faire.
Anyway, these few outfits look truly gorgeous. I'd wear every single one.

We are off to another wedding this weekend. Of course, it will be great! Hopefully I'll get to dance all night.
Most weddings we've been to this summer have been black tie affairs, which is always stylish. All men look good in a tuxedo and the girls get to dress up in their best ensembles. This weekend though the dress code is white tie, which for some reason seems to always make female guests think they need to dress much more formal, dusting off that ill-fitting taffeta dress they've inherited from their aunt and paring it with a pearl necklace or the likes. I think it's too bad. White tie dinners should be just as fun and frivolous. So, this week's Friday Wishlist is my dream get-up for a white tie bash.

Wow, Mulleavys! I think sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavey hit the right note with their collection when they headed in a different direction than the one dominating New York Fashion Week, namely the sports wear inspired. I'm happy they did, their tribute to Vincent van Gogh feels less analytical than past Rodarte collections, which lends a certain ease and wearability to their clothes that they might have lacked before. The collection from New York's enfants terrible might be seen by some as a repudiation of edge, but I'm not sure, I think the Mulleavys manage the thin line between wearablity and innovation gallantly.
I do think that the eye makeup was a bit overpowering but maybe this was the Mulleaveys' way of saying all was not beautiful and visually pleasing in Van Gogh's world.
For everyone not that into fashion I beg you to bear with me. Truly Felicia will not morph into a fashion blog, although I do love clothes and I hope you can find fashion as inspiring as I do.
