If you've ever looked for an apartment in Stockholm, you will know how they are almost always home styled to death, which makes them generic boring places. In my mind, this craze does nothing for the homes being shown, why would I like to look at five apartments all in the same day with the same interior? Isn't the purpose of visiting an apartment, as opposed to buying it after just seeing the layout online, to really be inspired and get a feeling of how it would be to live in and what solutions the people living there have found? Now, looking for apartments in Stockholm is completely uninspiring and I feel the same interior decorator is shuffling around the same furniture to all the viewings. Often the lack of books is disturbing and mind you my friends Ola and Jenny who are selling their apartment were told to remove their books by a realtor. I for one can't imagine why.
Well, maybe a change is coming or maybe the family selling this apartment simply put their foot down. Anyway, I love the way this apartment looks and would go see it in a heartbeat if we were looking for a new place in this part of Stockholm. Maybe I'll go just to be inspired.
